Third place, 5th AIDS Media Awards for Best News Feature on Print.With former Health Secretary Manolet Dayrit and Dr. Carlos Calica, former president of the AIDS Society of the Philippines.
This is one of the few recognitions I received when I was working. The award doesn’t mean I write so well, but it was the impact of the published story that got the attention of judges. Sa totoo lang, I owe it to my editors, they were the ones who really made the article worthwhile to read.รย However, ‘di naman din gaganda ang story kundi kumpleto ang detalye. That’s the secret of my hard work. ๐
My share for Nostalgia.
Sorry for this late visit sis, am sooo busy at my end. Wow yu really have so many achievements when you were still working. Do you ever wish of going back?
@Rose, thanks. Sometimes I wish I can still do the things I love to do like writing for a newspaper, but I don’t have the drive anymore especially when you know you wouldn’t be properly compensated for the things that you do, meaning underpaid ako (‘di lang ako pati na rin si hubby lately because we (I used to) work for the same company).
hmm, that is nice to hear congrats girl its really an honor receiving any achievement ..
@Mona, thanks girl…it’s an honor indeed. ๐
Wow! That’s really impressive, Mommy Yami! This is one of those things that I wish I can slap unto other people’s faces…I mean, those people who say that stay-at-home moms are “simple-minded”. They don’t realize that there are reasons why some mothers stay at home and choose to be with their kids. More often than not, these moms were once achievers and highly-driven individuals in their respective fields, but who are brave enough to leave all that behind for something even more. Having said all that, I want to say that I salute you, Yami! I wish you and yours more power and Godspeed!
@Mama Mia, I’m speechless. But thank you from the bottom of my heart. What more can I say? Thank you for supporting and standing up for us all stay at home mommies! I wish you and your family well. Good luck! ๐
Wow! that’s really something to be proud of…
@Einz, thanks sis. ๐
